Taica Hsu is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. Taica is a teacher on special assignment and math coach with the Multilingual Pathways in San Francisco, California. They oversee a grant program that supports educators to teach argumentative writing across disciplines. They also support new math teachers that teach multilingual students across the district. Taica was the math department chair and instructional coach at Mission High School. Taica was a Teachers for Social Justice Award Recipient and a Surge Fellow for Leaders of Color in Education. Taica is a National Board Certified teacher and a Board member for Intrepid Philanthropy, which oversees the LIGHT award grants for educators. Taica earned a BA in education, math, and Spanish from Dartmouth College, and an MA in mathematics education from Stanford University.
