Tamara Hudson

Tamara Hudson is a 2024-2025 Philadelphia Affinity Group Network Facilitator and a sixth grade teacher at William D. Kelley School. She focuses on teaching scholars in the content areas of English Language Arts, writing, and social studies. Tamara began her teaching career in 2011 as a middle school teacher for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. She joined the School District of Philadelphia in 2020 as a reading specialist and holds her reading specialist certification with the state of Pennsylvania. Tamara was named the 2017 Hall of Fame recipient at Our Mother of Consolation School and Volunteer of the Year in 2014. She is a community advocate for Women Against Abuse and a teacher lead for “Do the Write Thing Philadelphia,” a national campaign to stop the violence hosted by the US Attorney’s office. She earned her BA in elementary education and her MA in reading from Chestnut Hill College.
