Andrew Huey is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and is a high school math teacher at Long Beach High School in Long Beach. He teaches Advanced Math Plus and College and Career Readiness, preparing juniors for their future in areas of career paths and financial literacy. Andrew is also the ACT testing Coordinator for the Long Beach School District and Department Head for the College and Career Readiness team. Andrew began his teaching career in Alabama as the High Hopes Mathematics Tutor and Graduation Success Team Facilitator. He has since served as GHS 10th grade academy mathematics lead teacher and has continued teaching mathematics at various levels. After 20 years in the hospitality industry, he earned a BS in Mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi.
