Robin Hughes is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and high school special education English teacher at Carbondale Community High School in Carbondale, Illinois. She co-teaches and co-designed an inclusive English curriculum using formative data to guide instructional planning. Robin also provides academic support through Credit Recovery and Terrier Tutoring, coordinates interventions with stakeholders, and mentors Junior Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences students in leadership and enrichment activities. She helps students reach their fullest potential due to her passion for equity and empowerment. Robin earned her BS in special education with a minor in rehabilitation services from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and MA in education administration and leadership from McKendree University.
