Obinna Ibeh is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Obinna is a 5th grade dual-language science teacher at Elrod Elementary School in Houston. As an educator in his fifth year of teaching, Obinna has been the 5th grade lead teacher and has received the Elrod ESL Teacher of the Year award twice. His career in education spans over a decade, including roles at the Children’s Museum of Houston, where he trained counselors and developed STEM activities for YMCA outreach programs. He graduated from the University of Houston with a BS in biology and is pursuing an MEd in curriculum and instruction in bilingual education.
