Irene Post is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow. Irene is a primary grade bilingual education teacher at Bartolome de las Casas Elementary School in Chicago. She serves on the instructional leadership team, hiring committee, and the bilingual advisory council. Before teaching in Chicago, Irene taught in New York City as a Kindergarten Spanish dual language teacher and a reading specialist. She graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Psychology and Elementary Education and received her MS in Literacy from Bank Street College of Education.
