Jackie Greaves is a Teach Plus Rhode Island Teaching Policy Fellow. She is an elementary and middle school health and physical education teacher at Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy in Lincoln. She came to teaching after volunteering with and mentoring athletes who have special needs through both Special Olympics RI and the Trudeau Memorial Center. Jackie is triple-certified in health, physical education, and adapted physical education. She spent six years working for One on One Basketball Incorporated and two years for the Kent County YMCA. Jackie is a member of Shape America and RIAHPERD, where she advocates for more health and physical education minutes in schools. Jackie earned a BA in business with a concentration in sports management from St. Andrews University and an MATCP in health/physical education/APE from the University of Rhode Island.
