Patricia A. Jackson is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. Patricia is a 12th grade world literature and creative writing teacher at Central York High School in York, Pennsylvania. She is the co-advisor of the Panther Anti-Racist Union, a student-led club involved in diversity activism, and facilitates The Beautiful People, a student club that promotes safe spaces for students who identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Along with student members of the Panther Anti-Racist Union, Patricia was awarded the Beloved Community Awards for Social Influencer from the King Center in Atlanta, Georgia, and the Adler Human and Civil Rights Award from the Pennsylvania State Education Association. She earned her BA in English from York College of Pennsylvania, an MA in English from Old Dominion University and her teaching certification from Wilson College.
