Tina Jackson is a high school science teacher currently teaching in Irving ISD. She has been teaching for over 16 years in education. She is a member of the Positive Behavioral Intervention Committee and serves over 2,700 students in her community. Tina was nominated for 2019-2020 teacher of the year award in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at Propel High School. She began her teaching career in Houston, Texas, teaching chemistry and other science courses. Tina is currently part of the (TEA) EOC STAAR educator committee to review new test questions for the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness. Tina is currently working on her principal certification for leadership as an administrator. She earned her MS in Higher Education, undergraduate degree in pre-med with a degree in Biological and Physical Sciences. Her certifications list from high school composite science, biology, and EC-12th grade special education.
