Lanette Jacobs is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellow and 6th grade teacher at Kiser Elementary School in Clayton, New Mexico. She serves as the coordinator of her school’s summer reading program and was a member of her district’s Math Curriculum Adoption Committee. Lanette is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, recipient of the New Mexico School Boards Association Excellence in Student Achievement Award (2024), and President of Rabbit Ear Radio, Inc. She earned her Bachelor of General Studies from West Texas A&M University and is pursuing an MA in career and technical education at Eastern New Mexico University.
