Joie James is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Equity Leadership Institute member and special education teacher at the Clairton City School District in Clairton, Pennsylvania. Beginning her teaching career in 2022, she focuses on teaching English language arts and math, along with providing special education support in both small and whole group settings. She earned her BS in education with a dual special education degree from Youngstown State University and MEd in special education from Carlow University.
