Jamey Olney was a 2020 CA Teach Plus Policy Fellow and is currently a mobilizer of the Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent program. She teaches 7th and 8th grade English Language Development at Glick Middle School in Modesto. Jamey serves as the English Language Development site coordinator and advises the Hispanic Youth Leadership Council on her campus. She helped develop the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Literacy: Reading-Language Arts certificate and has been recognized as a 2020 California League of Middle Schools Educator of the Year. In 2023, she participated in a field study to South Africa as an NEA Global Classroom Fellow.
