Jamita Horton is a Teach Plus Colorado Teaching Policy Fellow. Jamita is a kindergarten teacher at Rocky Mountain Prep Southwest in Denver where she also acts as an advisor for the RELAY fellowship. She previously taught in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she was grade level chair, community service liaison and worked with teachers throughout the Milwaukee School District through the Schools that Can Leadership Program. She holds a BA in International Studies and Women’s Studies with a Certificate in Education Policy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a MA in Urban Education from Cardinal Stritch University.
