Jana Hughey is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow who teaches 4th-grade math, science, and coaches other teachers in the delivery of mathematics at Roy Roberts Elementary School in Lubbock, Texas. Jana is a Designated Master Teacher who also serves as the Mathematics Campus Academic Leader for her campus and was previously named teacher of the year for her campus. Jana has reviewed for SAFAL partners and edited textbooks for HMH. Jana holds certifications for Early Childhood Education, Elementary Self-Contained, and ESL. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a BS in Family Studies with an Early Childhood Endorsement.
