Jason Lee Morgan is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow who teaches mathematics at Dominguez High School in Compton. Jason also serves as the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Coordinator and designer/coach for 21st Century Learning and Teaching with the district’s 21st Century Innovation Cohort. Jason is an advisory board member with the Carlston Family Foundation where he presents to and mentors Early Career Teachers as a part of its Teacher Leadership Academy. He has been honored as a Carlston Family Foundation Outstanding Teacher of America and an American Graduate Champion in conjunction with PBS SoCal’s Education Revolution. Jason became a whole student and teacher advocate with a passion for low-income communities largely due to his own experiences with educational inequity growing up in South Central, Los Angeles. He graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Economics and received his teaching credential through the Los Angeles County of Education District Intern Program.
