Jemmry Velasquez is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellow. He currently is the 8th grade science teacher and department head at Heizer Middle School in Hobbs, New Mexico. He has taught science in the United States for the last three years, but has been teaching for 19 years. He is the former academic supervisor at Hope Christian High School in the Philippines, where he spent 16 years in both academic and administrative positions. He was also an accreditor of the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities in the Philippines. Jemmry evaluated instructional programs of numerous schools all over the country. He earned his BA in Education major in Natural Science and MA in Education major in Educational Administration in the University of the City of Manila. Jemmry is completing his second MA in Educational Leadership at the University of the Southwest in New Mexico.
