Michelle Jenkins is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow and a ninth-grade English teacher at South Fayette Township High School in McDonald, Pennsylvania. She teaches her students the importance of empathy through a curriculum that celebrates diverse voices, sharpens critical thinking skills, and emphasizes social emotional learning. Michelle began her career teaching at her alma mater, Baldwin High School, where she taught English, public speaking, and theater. As a public speaker, Michelle has organized a local TEDx event and delivered an official TEDx talk. She earned her BA in English at Washington & Jefferson College and her MEd in Educational Leadership at California University of Pennsylvania.
