Jennifer Myers teaches middle school math and serves as the math department chair at the SEED School of Maryland, a public boarding school for at-risk students in grades 6-12 from across the state. Jennifer entered teaching through The New Teacher Project’s (TNTP) Baltimore City Teaching Residency in 2006. After teaching high school math in Baltimore City for two years, she relocated to Indianapolis, where she led a graduate program at Marian University for TNTP and Teach for America teachers. Jennifer also spent two years as a math master teacher and instructional coach at KIPP Indianapolis College Preparatory, and helped to evaluate Indianapolis charter schools for the Indianapolis Mayor’s Office. Jennifer is a recipient of the 2014 CTY Sarah J. Barder Fellowship for excellence in teaching gifted and talented students. She earned her BA from the University of Maryland College Park, and holds MA degrees from Johns Hopkins University in secondary mathematics and the University of Indianapolis in educational leadership.
