Erika Jimenez is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow and is a kindergarten Spanish Caminos Teacher at the John Silber Early Learning Center in Chelsea. She focuses on teaching children high-quality Spanish literacy instruction, math, sciences, and social emotional skills with a culturally responsive approach, elevating students and families’ heritage language and culture. Erika is a Latinos for Education teacher leader and has previously served as a 2019 Parent Leader Training Institute (PLTI) member, a 2022 Latinx Teacher, and a 2023 Aspiring Latino Leader Fellow with Latinos for Education at Massachusetts Area. She earned her BA in education and math from Universidad de Antioquia, Colombia, and an MEd in TESOL from Framingham State University.
