Joanna Plotz is a Teach Plus Commonwealth Teaching Policy Fellow. Joanna teaches 3rd grade at the William A. Berkowitz Elementary School in Chelsea, where she has taught in both inclusion and ELL settings. She serves as a member of the school Site Council and the Universal Design for Learning leadership team. Prior to becoming a classroom teacher, Joanna worked at Discovering Justice, a civic education non-profit, where she ran the elementary field trip program at the Moakley Federal Courthouse in Boston. She holds a BA from Carleton College and a MAT from Brandeis University.
