Deirdra Johnson is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow and an 8th-grade science teacher at Stuttgart Junior High in Stuttgart. Deirdra is a Phi Delta Kappa, the Rand American Educator Panel, and the Arkansas Tutoring Corps member. Deirdra began her teaching career at the college level and then transitioned to public education, teaching 6th through 12th-grade science courses. She earned a BS in Biological and Agricultural Systems Engineering from Florida A&M University and an MS in Food Science and Nutrition from The Ohio State University. She studied further at Old Dominion University and The University of Central Arkansas.
