Keely Jones is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Arkansas & Mississippi Policy Fellow and 6-8 grade supplemental reading instructor at Blackburn Laboratory Middle School in Jackson, Mississippi. She serves as Head Coach for the Blackburn Emeralds Drill Team and previously served as Assistant Coach for the cheerleading team. During the summer of 2026, she led intensive literacy instruction for 3rd-grade scholars preparing for the Mississippi Academic Assessment Program (MAAP) retest. Before entering the middle school classroom, Keely worked as an early childhood educator for six years. She is a Teach For America alumna (2024) and a Fall 2020 initiate of the Nu Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Keely earned a BA in sociology from Mississippi State University.
