Shania Jones is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Illinois Chicago Change Agent and 3rd grade teacher at Charles Hughes Elementary School in Chicago. She serves as co-head of the Instructional Leadership Team and mentor in the Chicago Public Schools New Teacher Mentor Cohort. Previously, Shania worked for five years as a special education paraprofessional and led after-school programming to support student growth and enrichment. She is a mentee of the 100 Black Men organization, which has shaped her leadership and commitment to mentoring and community engagement. Shania earned a BA in elementary education from National Louis University.
