Beth Jordan is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow. She teaches 8th grade at Lake Middle School in Lake, Mississippi. She serves as her school’s librarian, the events and programs coordinator, and assistant test coordinator for benchmark and state testing. She has served in multiple leadership positions throughout her tenure at Lake Middle School including mentoring new teachers, district advisory committees, and serving her campus as a technology liaison and teacher instructor. Beth was selected as Lake Middle School’s Teacher of the Year as well as Scott County School District’s Teacher of the Year. Beth serves the educational community at large in her service as a Mississippi Educational Computing Association (MECA) board member where she assists with recruiting and expanding MECA’s conference attendees, presenters, and vendors. Beth earned both her BA in secondary education and an MA in instruction technology from Mississippi State University.
