Jorge is a 2021-2022 Texas Senior Policy Fellow teaches 10th grade Spanish 3, AP Spanish Language & Culture, and AP Psychology at IDEA Tres Lagos College Preparatory, where he also sponsors the Student Council, Chess and Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) clubs. Jorge is a member of Leadership for Education Equity, which has allowed him to complete School Organizing and Policy & Advocacy Fellowships. Jorge is a Teach For America alumnus and has previously taught High School Spanish at Achievement First Amistad High School where he co-founded a Latin American Student Organization. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Spanish and Psychology and received his MEd in secondary education from The Johns Hopkins University.
