Julie O’Neil is a Teach Plus Greater Boston Teaching Policy Fellow. She is a founding 6th grade ELA teacher at the Condon K-6 School, where she serves on the instructional leadership team, the school site council, and is part of a team working to implement an extended learning time model for the 2016-2017 school year. Julie began her teaching career as a Teach for America corps member in Houston, Texas. She has since taught 6th and 7th grade literature and served as grade level chair at Achievement First Hartford Academy in Hartford, CT. Julie is passionate about literacy instruction, developing young readers, and shepherding students through the middle-school years. She earned a BA in Political Science from Bryn Mawr College and an MEd from the University of St. Thomas.
