Katie Kaepplinger works for Rocky Mountain Prep at their Fletcher campus in Aurora. She teaches the self-contained level 2 Autism Center and I have students from grades K-5th. She works to support the MTSS team with resources, problem-solving, and observations. She is also starting a brand new SpEd Parent Committee for the whole RMP network where families from our special education population can come together to collaborate and gain more resources. She used to teach in a 6-8th grade self-contained setting before moving here. She started and created this life-skills classroom as well. She won our schools ‘Perseverance’ award in 2022. Our special education team won the most growth in our network in SpEd for the 22-23 school year.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education with a specialization in learning and behavior from Illinois State University. She also has a Masters in Special Education from Illinois State University and through that program she became a Curriculum Analysis Specialist and a Behavior Intervention Specialis
