Kathryn James McGraw is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow in her third year teaching English II and Creative Writing at Murrah High School in Jackson. Kathryn serves as English II Team Lead and facilitates district-wide professional development for English II teachers. For the past three summers, she has served as the assistant principal for the Mississippi Teacher Corps’ training program. Prior to teaching at Murrah, she taught English II for two years at Holly Springs High School, where she was named Teacher of the Year in 2019. Kathryn is a Mississippi Teacher Corps alum and an NEH Institute participant, and she is completing her National Boards. She earned a BA in Public Policy, Economics, and Southern Studies and a MAT from the University of Mississippi.
