Kendria Jones is an 8th Grade ELA teacher at Jack Robey Jr. High in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Kendria is in her 3rd year as a member of the Guiding Coalition Leadership team, where the focus is on the overall success of teachers and students. She also assisted in reviving and now sponsors the Jack Robey Student Council, where all grades are learning the meaning of working as one for the success of their school and finding and using their voices to advocate for what is right for their student body. She was the 7th Grade team lead for 2021-2022. She was the teacher of the month in February 2022. She was also recognized by her school and district for 120 of her students testing proficient and/or advanced on the ACT Aspire in Reading and English for the 2020-2021 school year, which was a huge accomplishment in the middle of the pandemic for her school. Kendria has a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
