Kiarah Truitt is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow who works as an Instructional Coach and Math Teacher at Cypresswood Elementary in Houston. Kiarah serves as a member of her school’s Instructional Leadership Team and is a Thurgood Marshall Teacher Quality & Retention Fellow. Kiarah previously taught 4-5th grade Math and served as a Family/Community Engagement Lead. She graduated from Delaware State University with a BA in Elementary Education and received her MEd in Educational Leadership from Loyola University.
