Kim O’Byrne is a Teach Plus New Mexico Teaching Policy Fellow. Kim teaches agricultural education with a focus on the animal science pathway at Mayfield High School. She has chartered the Mayfield FFA Chapter and founded Guide Dogs for the Blind, a collaboration between three local high schools and New Mexico State University’s Companion Animal Program. Kim is a National Agriscience Ambassador Mentor Facilitator, providing inquiry- based professional development to agriscience teachers, and science teachers in LCPS District and across the US. She is a National Agriscience Region II Teacher of the Year, and a 2011 Golden Apple Fellow. Kim graduated from New Mexico State University with a BS in Agriculture and an MA in Agriculture and Extension Education.
