Kimetrice Tate is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow who teaches 5th grade dual language at International Prep Academy in Champaign. Kim serves as a member of her building’s school improvement leadership team and as a co-chair of IPA’s Equity Committee. She is also a member of the 2021-2022 AFT-IFT Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) team for the Champaign Federation of Teachers. Kim was a 2020-21 Panda Fellow with the National Writing Project (NWP), and currently serves as a teacher-consultant and teacher-researcher with the NWP. She graduated from Millikin University with a BS in Elementary Education and is currently completing her EdM in Educational Administration and Leadership at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
