Diarmaid King is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow. He is a 9-10 grade humanities and English teacher at Phoenix Charter Academy in Springfield, Massachusetts, and an adjunct instructor at American International College. Diarmaid serves as humanities department team lead. He has developed literacy-focused curriculum and academic support systems to help students overcome barriers to attendance, reading, and writing. Diarmaid began his teaching career as a 2021 Teach For America corps member and delivers courses through Campus Without Walls. He earned a BA in history from the College of the Holy Cross, MA in history from Villanova University, and MEd from Boston University.
