Melissa Kintish is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow and a high school special educator at Community Charter School of Cambridge. She serves as a special educator mentor and the faculty LGBTQIA+ Affinity Group leader. With a focus on building self-efficacy, self-advocacy, and executive functioning skills in her students, Melissa helps guide them towards independent living and to help them meet their post-secondary goals. Previously, she worked as the grade-level coordinator to help revamp and streamline CCSC’s response to intervention processes. At her former school as a member of the Culture Leadership Team, Melissa was one of the presenters at the 16th Annual New England PBIS Forum. Melissa earned her BA in English and General Education from Brandeis University and her MSEd in Moderate Disabilities (5-12) from Simmons University.
