Miriam Klein is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Equity Leadership Institute member and district librarian, Specials Department chair, yearbook, and Key Club sponsor for the Cornell School District in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. She works with public librarians to help coordinate the local Battle of the Books program and brings the arts into classrooms through a partnership with the Pittsburgh Opera. Miriam began her career as a secondary English education teacher in 2002 and quickly moved into the role of librarian. She was named a Walmart Teacher of the Year (2009), Barringer Research Fellow for Teachers of American History (2016), and Fund for Teachers Fellow (2017). She earned her BA in secondary English education from Robert Morris University, her MS in information and library science from the University of Pittsburgh, and is currently working on her MA in American history from Gettysburg College.
