Kristine Lapierre is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Rhode Island Senior Policy Fellow. A returning Fellow, Kristine teaches 11th grade American literature and research seminar at Hope High School in Providence, RI, where she is also the coach of the debate team. Kristine is an elected member of the School Committee in Jamestown, RI. She spent eight years teaching English and Public Speaking at Vista Murrieta High School in Murrieta, California where she coached the school’s debate team. Kristine holds a Professional Educator Certificate from the National Speech and Debate Association. She earned a BS in Communications & Rhetorical Studies from Syracuse University, a BA in English from the University of Rhode Island, and an MAT in Teaching Secondary English from Brown University.
