Laura Laywell teaches 3rd grade ESL at Jack Lowe Sr. Elementary in Dallas ISD. Laura previously taught with Teach for America at Uplift Summit in Arlington, Texas. While teaching in Arlington, Laura began to volunteer with refugee students in Dallas, and developed a strong passion for working with ESL students. She has been teaching at Jack Lowe Sr. Elementary, an elementary school in Dallas ISD that serves a large refugee population, since 2014. She received a BA in Elementary Education from The Master’s University in California and is currently working on a Master’s in ESL Curriculum Writing through the University of Texas at Arlington.
