Lauren Perkins is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Indiana Innovations Teacher Collaborative teacher leader who serves as the Reading Specialist at Enlace Academy in Indianapolis. She launched and currently oversees the school’s small group reading initiative for K-3 teachers and leads the school’s home literacy visit program. A veteran teacher, Lauren has worked as a 3rd and 4th grade reading interventionist and a classroom teacher in pre-k through first grade. Lauren was recognized by the Indianapolis Mayor’s Office of Education Innovation as a Teacher of the Year finalist and she is a Teach for America alumna. Lauren graduated from DePauw University with a BA in English Literature and earned an MA in Teaching from Marian University.
