Leslie Correa is a 2018-19 Teach Plus DFW Policy Fellow. Leslie teaches 2nd grade two-way dual reading language arts and social studies at Tom C. Gooch Elementary in Dallas ISD. Leslie is an avid grant writer and accomplished a strong 2 years grant partnership with Texas A&M to bring specialized professional development and coaching to campus’ teachers and staff on how to teach the whole child. Leslie has been part of many campus Instructional Leadership Teams. She is a Bilingual Department Cadre Member, Curriculum Writer for Elementary Schools, and a Bilingual Advisory Council Member. Leslie was selected to be part of the Aspiring Administrators Academy in Richardson ISD and recognized as a semifinalist for Texas H-E-B Education Excellence Award in Leadership Category, 2018. Leslie has a BA in Social Communication with a major in Journalism from Universidad Miguel de Cervantes, Chile and an MA in Bilingual Ed. from Southern Methodist University.
