Leslie Correa is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Texas Early Childhood Educator Group Facilitator and a DFW Policy Fellowship alum. She is a bilingual educator, biliteracy specialist, and mentor at Truett Elementary in Dallas ISD. Leslie previously was an Early Learning Instructional Specialist and Texas Education Agency (TEA) Reading Academies Biliteracy Cohort Leader, facilitating professional development on the science of reading, and taught K-3 grade. She served as a TEA Teacher Leadership Fellowship fellow, Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System Item Reviewer, Instruction Materials Review and Approval Quality Reviewer for the Texas State Board of Education, and fellow with FuelEd. Leslie is a Teach Plus Texas DFW Policy Fellowship alumna. She earned a BA in early childhood education from Miguel de Cervantes University in Santiago, Chile and MA in biliteracy and dual language education from Southern Methodist University (SMU).
