Aurelia Lewis is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. Aurelia is a long-term 4th grade substitute teacher at Northwood Academy Charter School in Philadelphia. Aurelia has worked for the School District of Philadelphia, working within alternative school departments like the re-engagement center, where she played a vital role in assisting students who dropped out to reintegrate back into the education system. Aurelia is the Founder and CEO of Iconic Mindsetters, Inc., a mentorship program tailored specifically for young ladies in the Philadelphia area. Aurelia is the co-founder of Zeta Xi Theta, Sorority Inc. which focuses on promoting sisterhood, personal growth, and community engagement through various projects and initiatives. She earned her Associates of Science Behavioral Health and Human Services from Community College of Philadelphia and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Education at Grand Canyon University.
