Eric Lewis is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. Eric is a secondary science content specialist in the science department of curriculum and instruction in the San Francisco Unified School District where he supports middle and high school science teachers. He is also an adjunct professor at San Francisco State University where he teaches curriculum and instruction for science. Eric is the district coordinator for the Wipro program for Science Education Fellows that helps build science teachers leaders in the classroom. Eric was the Jessica Sawko Teacher Leadership Award recipient at CASE and was a featured speaker at the California Teachers Summit: Better Together at San Francisco State University. Eric began teaching at Mission High School in San Francisco where he quickly became department chair. Eric is a National Board Certified Teacher. He earned his BS in biological science from Cornell University, and an MA in science education from UC Berkeley.
