Lillyana Dacumos is leading the English department’s work on creating supports and scaffolds for students to independently write a full-bodied essay. Lillyana teaches 9th and AP English language and composition at Huntington Park Institute of Applied Medicine, a pilot school within LAUSD, where she is a sponsor of the feminist club and leads the Girls Build HP group. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a BA in English literature and a BA in Spanish and Portuguese Literature. She received her MA in Educational Policy from California State University, Northridge.
