Lindsay Stuart is the 1st grade team lead at Jefferson-Houston preK-8 School in Alexandria City Public Schools. In this role, Lindsay ensures that the 1st grade team functions seamlessly and prepares all students at a high-level for 2nd grade. She is also responsible for writing and coordinating the 1st grade math content and serving as the Jefferson-Houston K-2 math expert to help her colleagues integrate new math resources into their practice. Lindsay is a two-time LearnZillion Dream Team teacher, helping to create innovative Common Core-aligned writing and, most recently, math content for the education website. She previously taught 1st and 2nd grade at two Washington, D.C. charter schools. Lindsay holds a BA in elementary education from Emory University and an MEd in elementary education from George Washington University.
