Lisa A Pereira is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Rhode Island Policy Fellow. Lisa teaches 12th grade English language arts at Smithfield High School in Smithfield, RI, where she is the co-advisor to the Class of 2021, Rhapsody, her school’s literary magazine, and her high school’s yearbook. She is a RIDE-certified mentor/coach and has served on her district’s professional development committee. She is working with NEBasecamp in order to reimagine and redesign her classroom instruction. Lisa graduated from Rhode Island College with a BA in English/ Secondary Education.
