Jevons Liu is a 2026 Teach Plus National Teacher Policy Cabinet Member and high school special education and mathematics teacher at the Academy for College and Career Exploration in Baltimore, Maryland. He founded the school’s Advanced Placement Calculus program and oversees academics for student-athletes.
Jevons has taught in the Maryland Correctional Institutions and previously served as the school’s staff wellness lead. In 2025, he was named Baltimore City Public Schools Teacher of the Year and was also selected as a Grosvenor Teacher Fellow with the National Geographic Society and Lindblad Expeditions (2025).

Jevons began his teaching career in Baltimore as a resident through the City Teaching Alliance. He is now a National Board Certified educator who serves as a member of the Maryland Teacher Advisory Council and co-chairs the Maryland Blueprint Pillar 5 Advisory Committee.

He earned his BA in Economics from Northwestern University and his MS in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
