Afina Lockhart is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and director of the CREATE 65 Teacher Residency Program, PREP 65 Principal Residency Program, and the new Paraprofessionals Apprenticeship Program for the Evanston/Skokie School District 65. An educator for more than 25 years, Afina has served as a founding charter school teacher, district wide administrative leader, assistant principal, principal, and assistant superintendent. She holds a BS in Accounting from Hampton University, an MA in Secondary Education with an endorsement in General Science from Roosevelt University Chicago, and a Doctorate of Curriculum and Instruction and a School Supervision endorsement and Superintendent’s endorsement from Loyola University Chicago.
