Rasheeda Love is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and a 9th-12th grade family and consumer sciences teacher at Carbondale Community High School in Carbondale, Illinois. She focuses on teaching students in the areas of personal finance, adult living, and parenting. Rasheeda was part of her district’s strategic planning committee that focused on recruitment, retention, and personnel development for current and newly employed staff. Rasheeda was awarded Those Who Excel & Teacher of the Year Meritorious Service in the Teacher category by the Illinois State Board of Education. She was also awarded the The Charles Leming Student Council Award by Carbondale Community High School. Rasheeda is a proud active and financial member of The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She earned her BS in family and consumer sciences and secondary education from Bradley University and her MS in curriculum and instruction and educational leadership from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
