Ana Luna-Franco is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent. Ana is a middle school teacher at The Language Academy of Sacramento, California. She is a member of her school’s English language development (ELD) task force, focused on creating cohesion and assessment-based pedagogy to support multilingual learners across all grade levels. She is also part of the academic team as a teacher leader focused on reading intervention. Past leadership roles include the ELD Task Force, Academic Team, and Policy Committee. She earned her BS in community and regional and a minor in development sociology from the University of California, Davis, and a multiple subject credential with a bilingual authorization from California State University, Sacramento. She is working on her MA in language and literacy at the University of California, Sacramento.
