Aprilanne Lynch-Bolk is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and a 5th grade teacher at Prairie Trail School in Wadsworth, Illinois. She is the new staff and mentoring program facilitator for her district as well as the coordinator for the 5th grade civics program. She focuses on teaching children in the areas of response to intervention, bilingual/bicultural development, and social-emotional learning to foster a positive class community. She also works with mentoring new teachers in the Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois program and helped with the DEI board for Teach for America in the northern Illinois region. She earned her BA in elementary education from Illinois State University and a Curriculum and Instruction MEd with a concentration on English as a second language from National Louis University.
